That depends of the type of brewing machine you’re using! from our own experience the most common coffee makers are either espresso or drip coffee brewers; however, that totally depends on your preferences but as a rule and to have a better cup check this out:
- For drip coffee makers is better to use a medium grind, in fact, our ground coffee is ground for these type of coffee machines
- For a good strong espresso a finer grind is the perfect match. Most espresso machines come with an integrated grind, therefore; we recommend getting whole beans if you’re an espresso lover! Please note that the grind for an espresso maker should be finer than sugar but coarser that flour. You can take as a reference the consistence of any non-calorie sweetener. For a good grind, you should achieve that texture on your coffee.
Tip!! One important factor that will determine whether you got the perfect grind for an espresso is the roast level. The darker the roast level, the softer the beans whereas the lighter the roast, the harder the beans meaning that when you grind darker roasted coffee on the same grind level than medium roasted coffee, the medium coffee will end up being coarser even if it was ground with the same grinder at the same level or the other way around, the darker coffee will be too fine if you grind it at the same level than the medium one. That’s why it is important to try to adjust your grinder according to the type of roasted coffee you want to grind.
To keep the coffee fresh for a longer time, we highly recommend buy the whole beans because it keeps its bouquet (cream, taste and aftertaste) even better. If you grind it just before preparing it, you will be able to perceive more its aromas and flavors! however our package comes with a one way valve (see the FAQ for more information) and if you decide to get it ground, it will stay fresh for a longer time.
One thing we can assure: no matter which type you pick, ground or whole bean, our coffee will captivate your senses!!!
